How did Gionata Nencini transform a scouting around Central Asia into an adventure on the Silk Roads?
In order to offer a travel experience which is highly adventurous and reach the top quality standard, we invest time and resources scouting for suggestive locations, unbeaten roads, unforgettable sceneries and exotic cultures. But the exploration implies every kind of surprises and drawbacks that are a daily occurrence: Gionata Nencini, founder and guide at Exmo Tours, has been investing for over 13 years in this research and demonstrated to be able to solve these problems managing to come back home not only providing new destinations to our customers, but also with exciting stories that inspire other riders.
From his adventures he publishes books and documentaries which he’s author. “Silk Roads by motorbike” is his last work and this is the official trailer:
“Riding the Silk Roads has been the hardest adventure of my life!
Is it possible to summarize in 1 minute five months traveling, 30.000km, 18 countries, 54° iranian deserts, the armed escort in Pakistan, indian passes over 5300 above sea level, the himalayan suspended bridges, many falls, the three time broken frame and the killer mini-vans of Kashmir?”
From Gionata’s twelve-month scouting adventure three different routes arose which we have compressed into three tours of 15 days each by filtering out the less interesting areas and concentrating on the very best that South America has to offer to anyone visiting it on a motorbike. Our itineraries can also be repeated for lone wolves interested in our self-guided tours. In occasion of New Year’s Eve, we run the Patagonia & Tierra del Fuego tour, available from November to March.
